The meeting was called to order by Barbara Carroll

Opening Remarks

Reginald Thomas announced the Whalley Edgewood Beaver Hill representative replacement, Frank Cochran.

A. Rollcall/Attendance by members introducing themselves and their affiliation.

B. Approval of Agenda

A motion to approve the agenda was made by Bill Bixby; seconded by Sarah McIver; approved unanimously.

C. Approval of Minutes

A motion was made by Evelise Ribeiro to approve the August minutes; seconded by Catherine Gootkin; approved unanimously.

D. Coordinator's Remarks

A motion to accept the September Coordinator's Report was made by Mary Blair; seconded by Maureen O'Sullivan; approved unanimously.

E. Internal Affairs Remarks

Captain Joann Peterson entertained questions.

F. Open Floor

Assistant Chief Roy Brown announced his area of responsibility as Professional Standards. Professional Standards has Internal Affairs as one of the units.

Assistant Chief Brown provided an overview of his background and career. Assistant Chief Brown announced the swearing in of Assistant Chief Reichard, who will be responsible for Investigations. Also, he announced the pending October 6, 2008 assignment of Assistant Chief Ken Gillespie.

Assistant Chief Brown entertained questions.

G. Subcommittee Reports

Evelise Ribeiro provided a synopsis of BoPC activities.

Frank Cochran is the representative from Whalley Edgewood Beaver Hill (WEB) and will be sworn in at the October Civilian Review Board meeting.
